Painting has a relief texture. The story of sea urchins inspired this work.
Urchins are born blind and get relentlessly tossed in the ocean. If they wash closer where the water is not so deep, they are able to turn themselves inside out and anchor to the sea bottom. I loved the analogy to life has it challenges and to reframe our challenges we are better equipped to flourish!
